Hannah Dunn Dead, Nelson Dunn Detained Following DUI Accident on Bead Lake Road Near Indian Creek Road

 
NEWPORT, WA (June 20, 2019) – A DUI rollover crash on Bead Lake Road near Indian Creek Road claimed a woman’s life and resulted in an arrest Monday.
 
According to deputies, a Ford Expedition driven by 24-year-old Nelson J. Dunn rolled about 300 feet down an embankment under unknown circumstances.
 
Hannah E. Dunn, a 23-year-old passenger in the Ford, suffered fatal injuries. Meanwhile, Nelson, of Spokane, exhibited signs of impairment during investigations, leading officers to arrest him.
 
Nelson now faces charges of vehicular homicide, according to the Pend Oreille County Sheriff’s Office.
 
Sgt. Questin Youk stated that the married couple was on their way home from a camping trip at Cook’s Lake.
 
However, because information is limited, the crash remains under investigation by officers.
