Guadalupe Aguilar Monreal and Saul Chavez Muniz Dead in Bakersfield DUI Accident, Jesus Moran Mendoza Arrested

 
Bakersfield, CA (February 01, 2021) – On Sunday, Guadalupe Aguilar Monreal, 46, and Saul Chavez Muniz, 52, died in a DUI crash on Union Avenue.
 
Moreover, police arrested 35-year-old Jesus Mendoza in connection to the crime.
 
Officers responded to the accident scene at about 2:17 a.m., at the intersection with Brundage Lane, which involved three vehicles.
 
Furthermore, authorities pronounced two adults dead at the scene.
 
Then, the rescuers rushed two others to local hospitals for major injury treatment. They are currently in critical condition.
 
BPD said the cause of the crash was determined to be a DUI driver.
 
Consequently, they arrested Mendoza on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence, causing serious bodily injury.
