Driver Killed and Four Injured in Solo Crash on Cuddy Valley Road
FORT TEJON, CA (September 21, 2019) – Authorities identified 25-year-old Grace Hope Fuentes Renteria of Delano as the victim killed in a rollover crash on Cuddy Valley Road, Saturday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near White Rock Road. Due to unknown reasons, an eastbound 2003 Honda Pilot veered off the roadway. Then, the vehicle left across both lanes and onto a dirt embankment. There, the vehicle overturned multiple times.
Emergency responders pronounced the driver, identified as Renteria, dead at the scene. Meanwhile, four passengers, including children ages 1, 2, and 4, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The CHP ruled out alcohol and drugs as factors in the fatal crash. They also noted that everyone wore a seatbelt. Authorities will release additional information to the public once it becomes available.
