Rider Gor Akopyan Dies after Crash with Car on Angeles Crest Highway in La Cañada Flintridge

 
LA CANADA FLINTRIDGE, CA (January 19, 2020) – A man died in motorcycle crash Sunday morning in La Cañada Flintridge.
 
The crash happened around 9:00 a.m. along Angeles Crest Highway near Gould Mesa.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was riding on his motorcycle when he collided with a car that was traveling along Gould Mesa.
 
First responders transported the rider to Huntington Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The coroner’s office identified him as Gor Akopyan, 35, of Pacoima.
 
The driver of the other vehicle waited for authorities to arrive, officials said.
 
Authorities did not suspect alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
