1 Dead in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Ocee Street near Pagewood Lane

HOUSTON, TX (May 22, 2025) – Wednesday night, a 2-year-old girl died in a brutal pedestrian crash on Ocee Street near Pagewood Lane.

The crash happened at about 6:00 p.m. on Ocee Street near Pagewood Lane and the Westpark Tollway.

Officers initially responded to reports of armed individuals seen walking through an apartment complex and questioning a child was hit by a vehicle.

The child was pronounced dead upon arrival. Authorities stated that two or three men currently in custody are relatives of the victim. They were reportedly searching for the person responsible for the incident.

At this time, police have not identified the driver or determined if the case involves a hit-and-run. 

Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage, and the events leading up to the crash remain under investigation.
