Teens Giovvani Oliva and Justyn Lopez-Florez Identified in Fatal Accident near Reed High School
Sparks, NV (July 7, 2020)– On Saturday morning, a single-vehicle collision claimed the lives of 16-year-old Giovvani Oliva and 17-year-old Justyn Lopez-Florez.
The Sparks Police Department said that the collision occurred near Reed High School on July 4 at about 3:05 a.m. According to the report, the incident was a single-vehicle crash.
As a result of the collision, two teenagers ages 16 and 17 were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities later identified the victims as Giovvani Oliva, the driver, a Reno resident, and Justyn Lopez-Florez, of Fernley.
A witness told the police that the vehicle was speeding through the Sparks and Baring Boulevard intersection. The vehicle continued until it struck a tree.
Furthermore, the police are still investigating if drugs were a factor in the deadly incident.
