Loleta, CA (December 12, 2020) On Wednesday, Miranda Firefighter Gerry Spaeth and his wife were injured in a collision with a Dodge pickup on Highway 101.

Moreover, the CHP says the crash happened at about 3:40 p.m. between a Dodge pickup and a Toyota Tundra.

Furthermore, investigators say, that the front end of the Tundra receives severe damage.

Initially, paramedics say that the two occupants of the Tundra have sustained minor injuries.

But later Spaeth says that her wife was diagnosed with several broken bones.

According to Spaeth, a young motorist drifted behind his Tundra and this caused them to skid and hit a tree.

Lastly, paramedics took Spaeth and his wife to the hospital via ambulance.
