Geraldine Caicedo-Perez Arrested after Brutal DUI Crash on Marguerite Parkway [Mission Viejo, CA]

1 Person Killed in Mission Viejo Auto Accident on Marguerite Parkway and Pueblonuevo Drive

MISSION VIEJO, CA (January 2, 2025) – Wednesday morning, Geraldine Caicedo-Perez was arrested after a brutal DUI crash on Marguerite Parkway and Pueblonuevo Drive.

The crash happened at about 1:40 a.m. near the intersection of Marguerite Parkway and Pueblonuevo Drive, said the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

“Deputies arrived and discovered a Chevrolet Malibu and a Toyota Camry had been involved in a head-on collision. Based on the preliminary investigation, it appears the Chevrolet Malibu was driving the wrong way in southbound lanes of Marguerite Parkway and collided with the Toyota Camry head-on,” sheriff’s officials revealed.

“The adult female driver of the Camry was transported by paramedics to a local area hospital where she was pronounced deceased. The driver and a passenger of the Chevrolet Malibu were also transported to a local area hospital to be treated for injuries related to the collision.”

The driver of the Malibu, identified as Caicedo-Perez, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and booked into the Orange County Jail on charges of gross vehicular manslaughter.

The victim, a woman in her 60s, has not been publicly identified as authorities are notifying her next of kin.
