87-Year-Old Man Identified as Victim Killed in Pedestrian Crash near San Miguel Drive

 
NEWPORT BEACH, CA (October 26, 2019) – Authorities identified 87-year-old George Stryker of Newport Beach, as the victim killed in a pedestrian accident on MacArthur Boulevard, Saturday evening.
 
According to the Newport Beach Police Department, the incident happened at about 6:15 PM. The victim was walking at MacArthur Boulevard and San Miguel Drive when a vehicle struck him.
 
Unfortunately, Stryker died before first responders could transport him to a hospital. Meanwhile, police officials declined to immediately release some additional details about the driver.
 
Newport Beach police continue to investigate the cause of the fatal incident. Those who wish to cooperate should reach out as soon as possible. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
