Woman and 2 Girls Injured in Collision at Milepost 61
Granger, WA (April 3, 2023) – On Saturday morning, George Quezada, 33, of Granger, was involved in an Interstate 82 DUI crash injuring three people.
Authorities said Quezada was driving eastbound in the westbound lanes of the freeway about three miles east of Granger.
A westbound car driven by a 24-year-old Yakima woman was struck by Quezada’s vehicle head-on.
The woman and her two passengers, 8 and 5-year-old girls, were taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
Officers said Quezada did not sustain injuries in the crash.
Investigating officers said charges are pending against Quezada and they suspect drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
Meanwhile, the authorities closed Interstate 82 WB near Granger for a vehicular assault investigation after the collision at milepost 61.
