George Palma Killed, Kazuhiro Hayashida Injured in Accident on Highway 12 [Santa Rosa, CA]

George Palma, Kazuhiro Hayashida Hospitalized in Sonoma County Crash on Highway 12

 
SANTA ROSA, CA (January 6, 2021) – Monday morning, 32-year-old George Palma died in a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 12 and Merced Avenue.
 
The incident occurred at 8:23 a.m. on Highway 12, west of Merced Avenue, west of Santa Rosa.
 
According to reports, a 32-year-old man from Sebastopol drove east in a Toyota Matrix. Then, he veered into the opposing lane and hit a Ford transit van.
 
Afterward, the transit van continued and struck and Acura RDX. Meanwhile, the Toyota continued west and crashed into a box van. The impact caused the van to overturn and land on its roof.
 
Meanwhile, the authorities confirmed that the 32-year-old Toyota driver succumbed to injuries at the scene. His identity was later revealed as George A. Palma.
 
Moreover, the box van driver, identified as 24-year-old Kazuhiro Hayashida, sustained injuries. Also, responders transported the two other occupants of the box van to a hospital. Fortunately, they’re expected to survive.
 
Furthermore, reports revealed that the Acura driver, 20-year-old Marissa Pendleton of Sebastopol, sustained minor injuries.
 
The Ford driver, a Santa Rosa resident identified as 26-year-old David Cortez, also incurred injuries.
 
Due to the limited information available, the crash remains under active investigation.
