Santa Ana, CA (January 5, 2025) On Friday evening, 63-year-old George Estrada Tellez of Costa Mesa lost his life after a horrific crash near Clara Street.

According to the Santa Ana Police Department (SAPD), the tragic accident happened at about 6 p.m. near Clara Street and Sullivan Street.

Reports say that two vehicles fatally struck Tellez.

Authorities say that both drivers remained at the scene, offering assistance and cooperating with authorities during the investigation.

Emergency responders transported George to a nearby hospital, but he succumbed to his critical injuries shortly after.

Preliminary findings indicate that Tellez was walking in the eastbound lanes of 1st Street near Center Street when the vehicles struck him.

Police confirmed that neither alcohol nor drugs appeared to be factors for either driver involved.
