Fatal Two-Car Crash near Garden Grove Freeway
GARDEN GROVE, CA (March 26, 2018) – Two people were killed in a car crash on Beach Boulevard, early Monday morning around 12:35 AM.
Responding officers arrived at the scene of the accident near the Garden Grove Freeway, to find one person dead. The driver of the second vehicle was found unresponsive and was rushed to the University of California Irvine (UCI) Medical Center. He later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by medical professionals.
Both vehicles had no other occupants other than the drivers. The names and age of the victims have not yet been released to the public, pending notification of family members.
Parts of Beach Blvd were shut down for police investigation and reopened nearly five hours later. The investigation is ongoing as officials continue to understand the cause of the fatal collision. Witnesses with additional information are encouraged to contact authorities by calling (714) 741-5823.
