Frightening Traffic Crash Near Ramon Road Injures 3 [Cathedral City, CA]

Cathedral City, CA (April 10, 2025) – 3 people were hurt after a suspected DUI driver caused a multi-vehicle traffic crash Near Ramon Road.

According to authorities, the frightening crash happened at about 1:50 p.m. near Avenida Los Ninos and Ramon Road.

Police arrested a 60-year-old Hemet man on suspicion of DUI after a series of collisions Wednesday afternoon in Cathedral City.

Investigators said the man was driving a Honda CRV southbound on Avenida Los Ninos when he struck two parked vehicles.

Authorities say that the driver then continued onto Ramon Road, turned westbound, and collided with a Nissan Quest minivan before stopping on the north side of the roadway.

Two people in the minivan sustained minor injuries and were transported to the hospital. The Honda driver, also hospitalized with a complaint of pain, showed signs of alcohol intoxication and was later arrested. Authorities plan to book him at the Indio jail.

The intersection was temporarily closed but has since reopened.
