Driver Dies in Fresno Two-Vehicle Crash

 
FRESNO, CA (January 29, 2019) – A motorist perished in a two-vehicle crash on Clovis Avenue near Ashlan Avenue Monday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a man operating a Honda Civic pulled onto Clovis Avenue, just north of the intersection with Ashland Avenue, around 8 a.m. His vehicle was struck by a Toyota Prius traveling southbound.
 
The seriously injured man in the Honda Civic had to be cut out of the vehicle before he was taken to a nearby hospital where he died shortly after.
 
The woman in the Prius was not hurt. The identity of the male victim will be released once the next of kin has been notified. It was not clear who was at fault, but authorities are diving deeper into this case.
