Afternoon 3-Vehicle Wreck on 680 Freeway in Fremont
FREMONT, CA (November 30, 2018) – Three people were injured following a three-vehicle crash Friday afternoon on 680 Freeway in Fremont.
The crash happened around 1:53 p.m. on the northbound direction of the freeway, just South of Mission Boulevard, also known as Highway 262.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a silver Mazda, a gray Honda CRV, and a third vehicle were involved for unknown reasons. The impact caused major front-end damage on the Mazda and major rear-end damage on the Honda.
Three patients were also found in the crash but the severity of their injuries was not immediately available.
Emergency crews and towing services were dispatched to the scene to provide medical aid and remove the damaged vehicles from blocking the freeway.
The specific cause of the crash and who may be at fault remain under investigation.
