INDIO, CA (December 3, 2018) – A 41-year-old Indio man lost his life Friday after being struck by a motorist on the 10 Freeway near Golf Center Parkway.
 
Frederick Guerra was walking in the slow lane for unknown reasons around 2:30 a.m. when he was struck by 2017 Chevrolet Cruze on the eastbound 10 Freeway.
 
News reports say that the 43-year-old driver from Mecca, identified as Mario Carbajal, was not impaired at the time, but details regarding whether Guerra was is still under investigation.
