Freddie Medina Dies in Horrific Auto-Pedestrian Crash Near Soto Avenue [Jurupa Valley, CA]

Jurupa Valley, CA (January 4, 2025) On Thursday evening, 42-year-old Freddie Medina was declared dead, while another person was hospitalized after a shocking auto-pedestrian crash near Soto Avenue.

According to the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station, the deadly incident happened at about 6:05 p.m. near Mission Boulevard and Soto Avenue.

Authorities say that Medina died after a tragic vehicle-versus-pedestrian crash in Jurupa Valley.

Deputies responded to the collision at 6:05 p.m. near Mission Boulevard and Soto Avenue, finding two pedestrians lying in the roadway and the driver, who remained at the scene.

First responders transported both pedestrians to Riverside Community Hospital. Despite life-saving efforts, Medina succumbed to his injuries, while the other pedestrian was admitted in critical condition. Updates on their condition have not yet been released.

The Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station Traffic Team is investigating the cause of the crash, which remains unclear. Authorities have not determined if drugs or alcohol were factors. Mission Boulevard was temporarily closed between Valley Way and Soto Avenue as officials gathered evidence.
