Frankie Bearden Dead Following Merced Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 99
MERCED COUNTY, CA (December 6, 2020) – On Saturday morning, a vehicle crash killed Frankie Bearden, 44, on Highway 99 near Mission Avenue.
According to California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on Highway 99 in the northbound lanes near Mission Avenue. Furthermore, it occurred at around 2:58 a.m.
Reports revealed that a 2020 Jeep Cherokee driven by 44-year-old Beardon, of Livingston, crashed into a garbage truck before spinning around and coming to rest in the No. 2 northbound lanes.
A Kenwood big rig carrying two trailers then struck the SUV.
CHP spokesman Officer Eric Zuniga said that the SUV was dark in color. Moreover, it was sitting perpendicularly in the road, and the big rig driver failed to see the vehicle.
No other information about the fatal big rig crash is known at this time.
