Las Vegas Crash Kills Passenger, Francisco Orozco Injured
Las Vegas, NV (August 25, 2021)– On Tuesday, 65-year-oldFrancisco Orozco, of Laughlin, suffered injuries in a fatal crash on Bruce Woodbury Drive.
The fatal two-vehicle crash took place at about 11:15 a.m. at the intersection with Needles Highway.
Officers said Orozco was driving a 2001 Ford Windstar when it crashed with a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup driven by 37-year-old Geller Coaguila of Fort Mohave, AZ.
Orozco’s vehicle was northbound on Needles Highway. At the same time, Coaguila’s vehicle was entering the road from westbound Bruce Woodbury Drive.
Responding officers rushed Orozco to a local hospital, but his unidentified passenger died at the scene.
Orozco’z van overturned after the accident.
Coaguila did not suffer injuries in the crash. Officers said he stayed at the scene and did not show signs of impairment.
Meanwhile, authorities said there is no posted traffic control device at the intersection where the fatal collision happened. ,
Officers are still investigating this crash.
