Dallas Officer Injured in 2-Vehicle Crash on Main Street
Dallas, TX (May 26, 2023) On Thursday morning, 39-year-old Francisco Fernandez was arrested after a DWI collision on Hall Street.
Authorities say that a Dallas police officer was injured in the 2-vehicle crash that happened around 12:45 a.m. at the intersection with Main Street in Deep Ellum.
Reports say that Fernandez struck a patrol unit, and officials say that the officer was helped by good Samaritans out of his patrol unit. Medics transported the injured officer to a hospital, he is in stable condition and is expected to recover.
Meanwhile, Francisco Fernandez did not sustain injuries and was given a field sobriety test. Fernandez was arrested after the test and was charged with driving while intoxicated.
