1 Person Dead in Montague County Auto Accident on Highway 81 near Ringgold
MONTAGUE COUNTY, TX (October 16, 2024) – On Tuesday, Francis Leann Durham died in a brutal traffic crash on Highway 81 near Ringgold.
The incident happened on Highway 81, north of Ringgold.
A freightliner hauling a semi-trailer rear-ended a Chevy Traverse at a temporary stop light for still unknown reasons.
Authorities confirmed that 54-year-old Durham of Eagletown died in the crash. Paramedics transported a passenger of the vehicle to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital with incapacitating injuries.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
