17-Year-Old Girl Hospitalized in Vehicle Crash Near Walmart

Pierce County, WA (January 25, 2023) – On Tuesday noon, four people sustained injuries in a Mountain Highway East collision.

According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department, a Subaru was northbound at a high rate of speed on Mountain Highway East and was turning into a Walmart when it struck a Chevrolet Silverado.

A 17-year-old girl was thrown from the Subaru and sustained serious injuries. The paramedics rushed her to a hospital.

Also, three others, all 18-year-old males, were rushed to the hospital in unknown condition.

The 69-year-old man who was driving the truck did not sustain injuries from the collision.
