Two Vehicles Involved in T-Bone Accident near South Lyon Avenue

 
SAN JACINTO, CA (April 5, 2019) – Four people were hospitalized after a t-bone crash on Cottonwood Avenue, Friday afternoon at approximately 8:30 PM.
 
According to CHP, the involved vehicles were a light-colored Mazda sedan and a white pickup truck. It was determined that the accident happened when the pickup failed to stop at a posted stop sign. As a result, it crashed broadside into the Mazda.
 
Witnesses later reported that the driver who caused the crash attempted to run. However, the suspect did not make it far from the scene due to injuries.
 
Two juveniles inside the Mazda were injured, while the driver was trapped and extricated from the vehicle.
 
Vehicle parts and debris were spread throughout the intersection, blocking the roadway. During their investigation, deputies called for the temporary closure of the intersection.
 
An on-scene investigation was conducted by the authorities. No further information was readily available.
