Person Dies in Pedestrian Collision in Folsom

 
FOLSOM, CA (January 11, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Thursday morning on Blue Ravine Road near Big Valley Road.
 
Around 6 a.m., the driver contacted 911 regarding the crash, which left a female pedestrian dead at the scene.
 
According to Folsom police, the car, described as a dark-colored vehicle, was heading northeast when it hit the woman. The driver immediately pulled over and contacted authorities.
 
Investigators are determining what led to the crash and believe weather conditions and lack of lighting on the street might have played a role in the collision.
 
The identity of the woman hit has not been released.
