FLORIN, CA – Woman Killed in Pedestrian Crash at Stockton Boulevard and Mack Road

Female Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Van on Stockton Boulevard in Florin

 
FLORIN, CA (March 19, 2019) – A woman was killed in a pedestrian crash Tuesday morning in Florin, according to the Sacramento Police Department.
 
The fatal crash happened around 5:11 a.m. at the intersection of Stockton Boulevard and Mack Road.
 
Authorities said a female pedestrian was crossing Stockton Boulevard when she was struck by a van that was heading southbound.
 
The woman was transported to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. Her identity has not yet been released pending next of kin notification.
 
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
Drugs and alcohol are not believed to have played a factor in the crash.
 
Stockton Boulevard were closed in both directions between Mack Road and Lenhart Road during the investigation.
 
It is unknown if the woman had the right of way at the intersection. Investigators are still piecing together what led up to the crash.
