DUI Driver Involved in Collision Near South Valley View Boulevard

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (November 3, 2019) – Five people and an infant required hospitalization after a DUI crash on Alta Drive on early Sunday morning.
 
According to the police, the crash happened near South Valley View Boulevard at approximately 1:45 AM. Dispatchers arrived to the area shortly after.
 
Based on a report from Las Vegas Metropolitan police, a suspected drunk male took his infant child with him to his vehicle after cutting himself at a party with family and friends. The suspect’s vehicle then drove away and crashed with a four-door sedan after it failed to stop at the intersection.
 
Paramedics transported the man and his child to the hospital for further treatment of non-life threatening injuries. In addition, one person in the sedan suffered critical injuries. However, three passengers suffered non-life threatening injuries.
 
Officials believe impairment was a factor in the crash. However, police have not released additional information at this time.
