Five Hospitalized in Car Crash in Lost Hills

 
LOST HILLS, CA (December 26, 2018) – On Wednesday morning, five people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision on the 5 Freeway. The identities of the victims have not yet been released to the public.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 9:50 AM just south of Main Drain Road.
 
As per reports, there was stop-and-go traffic when a vehicle that had been speeding hit the car ahead of them, causing a chain reaction accident. A total of five vehicles were involved in the accident.
 
Paramedics stated a 74-year-old man sustained moderate injuries while his 75-year-old female passenger suffered major injuries, while an 81-year-old driver also sustained major injuries. They were all transported to Kern Medical Center. Their current medical conditions are unclear at this time.
 
A 45-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman, both drivers, suffered minor injuries and were not transported to a hospital. A 53-year-old male driver was not injured in the incident. No other injuries were reported in the accident.
 
No further details have been disclosed, as the investigation continues.
