INDIO, CA (May 18, 2022) – Sunday morning, Firefighter B Kelly suffered injuries in a motorcycle crash on Monroe Street and Requa Drive.
 
The incident happened just before 10:00 a.m. on Monroe Street, north of Requa Drive.
 
According to reports, an off-duty firefighter was involved in a motorcycle vs vehicle crash. At this time, the circumstances that have led up to the crash remain unclear.
 
However, officers do not believe that alcohol and/or drugs played a role in the crash.
 
“BK was treated and transported by his firehouse crew to the local trauma center with major injuries,” the 16th battalion’s Instagram page said. “At the request of his family, friends, and coworkers, please keep BK in your thoughts and prayers.”
 
Monday, Firefighter B Kelly remained in the ICU in stable condition.
