3 People Hurt in San Antonio Auto Accident on W Gerald Avenue and Commercial Avenue

SAN ANTONIO, TX (July 7, 2024) – Saturday morning, a fiery vehicle crash on W Gerald Avenue and Commercial Avenue injured three people.

The incident happened at around 10:00 a.m. at the intersection of W Gerald Avenue and Commercial Avenue.

According to the San Antonio Police, a vehicle traveling from Commercial Avenue collided with a truck that proceeded through a stop sign. Then, the force of the crash pushed the truck to collide with a third vehicle that stopped at a stop sign. Also, two of the vehicles exploded into fire because of a gas tank sitting in the bed of the truck.

Moreover, officers confirmed that the three drivers sustained minor injuries and were released on the scene after evaluation.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the SAPD continued to investigate the crash.
