Fiery Multi-Vehicle Crash on SR 18 Led to Injuries [Auburn, WA]

Auburn, WA (March 24, 2025) – A fiery multi-vehicle crash on SR 18 resulted in minor injuries and a suspected DUI driver arrested.

Authorities arrested a driver for suspected DUI after the three-vehicle crash on SR 18 in Auburn Saturday evening.

The collision, which occurred in the eastbound lanes near W Valley Hwy, ignited a fire that severely impacted traffic.

Washington State Department of Transportation officials reported the crash just after 7:30 p.m. Traffic cameras captured at least one vehicle engulfed in flames. Fortunately, only minor injuries were reported.

Emergency crews closed all eastbound lanes and one westbound lane to manage the scene and extinguish the fire. Washington State Patrol released footage showing officers using a patrol car to push a burned vehicle off the roadway. By 8:40 p.m., all lanes had reopened.
