Injuries Reported in Tarzana Auto Accident at Synthetic Grass Depot on Ventura Boulevard

TARZANA, CA (March 14, 2023) – Early Monday, a firefighter sustained injuries in a fiery crash at Synthetic Grass Depot on Ventura Boulevard.

The incident happened at about 4:50 a.m. at Synthetic Grass Depot at 19337 Ventura Boulevard.

Los Angeles Fire Department crews responded to the fire. Officers said that the fire was burning outside and didn’t affect any structures.

According to authorities, a “civilian vehicle” ran over a four-inch supply line. As a result, it knocked a firefighter to the ground.

Thus, responders transported the firefighter to a hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.

“Due to the location of the nearest fire hydrant to an incident, it is sometimes necessary (we avoid it whenever possible) to cross streets with the large diameter supply line,” LAFD revealed. “This serves as a reminder to NEVER cross over a fire department hose line.”

Moreover, the incident shut down the eastbound 101 Freeway exit at Tampa Avenue and a section of Ventura Boulevard.
