COSTA MESA, CA (July 29, 2020) – Late Monday morning, authorities arrested Fernando Rabago, and four people suffered in a crash on 19th Street.
 
The crash involving seven or eight vehicles and happened around 10:48 a.m. on 19th Street.
 
According to Costa Mesa Fire Capt. Joseph Noceti, the injured parties, including one who was extricated from the wreckage, were transported to area trauma centers.
 
Roxi Fyad of the Costa Mesa Police Department revealed that one of the victims was a child.
 
Meanwhile, the authorities revealed that 24-year-old Fernando Rodriguez Rabago drove the wrong way on Newport Boulevard. His unsafe maneuver triggered the crash on 19th Street.
 
After transporting him to the hospital, the authorities booked Fernando Rabago on suspicion of driving drunk causing injury.
 
Fyad also clarified that the other victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
