Woman Injured in Pedestrian Accident
LAS VEGAS, NV (June 17, 2019) – A female pedestrian was injured Friday evening after she was struck by a vehicle on Flamingo Road. However, her identity and place of residency has not yet been released to the public.
Nevada State Officials responded to the pedestrian accident just before 10:00 p.m. First responders arrived to the area on West Flamingo Road and South Lindell Road shortly after.
The Las Vegas police department later revealed that a woman attempted to cross the street outside the marked crosswalk. There, she was eventually struck by an unidentified westbound vehicle.
Emergency responders later took her to a nearby hospital with life-threatening head injuries. However, there has been no update on her current medical condition at this time.
There has been no information released regarding the driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian at this time. Police did not consider drugs or alcohol a factor in the collision.
The surrounding area was closed off for a brief time while crews worked to clear the wreckage. However, the roadway has since reopened.
