Injuries Reported in Jamestown Motorcycle Accident on Peoria Flat Road and O’Byrnes Ferry Road
JAMESTOWN, CA (November 5, 2023) – Saturday, Felix Varasso suffered injuries in a crippling motorcycle crash on Peoria Flat Road.
The incident happened when 65-year-old Jeffrey Fiscalini of Jamestown stopped his 2011 Chevy Silverado on Peoria Flat Road at the intersection with O’Byrnes Ferry Road. As he waited for traffic to clear to make a left onto that roadway, 18-year-old Varrasso of Copperopolis traveled around 55 mph northbound on O’Byrnes Ferry Road in a 2015 KTM motorcycle.
Officers revealed that Fiscalini looked to his left and noticed the motorcycle approaching. However, he felt he had time to merge into traffic and turned left.
Then, he pulled directly into the path of Varrasso, who tried to veer to the left around the pickup. However, he was not able to miss the right front of the truck.
As a result, the motorcycle rammed into the right front of the pickup and was ejected to the right shoulder of O’Byrnes Ferry Road.
The motorcyclist sustained major injuries to his entire body and was airlifted to Memorial Hospital in Modesto, according to Norton. He added, “Fiscalini’s truck came to rest in a barbed wire fence on the west shoulder of the roadway. He exited his vehicle to check on the rider, and he did not sustain any injuries.”
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
