Fatal Traffic Accident on State Route 76 near Rincon Ranch Road Involving 57-Year-Old Motorcyclist

 
Pauma Valley, CA (May 1, 2020)– A traffic accident on Rincon Ranch Road involving a motorcycle killed a father and left the daughter injured, Thursday afternoon.
 
On April 30, California Highway Patrol received reports of a traffic accident on State Route 76 around 4:40 p.m.
 
The 57-year-old victim was driving a Honda motorcycle with his 16-year-old daughter when the crash happened, CHP Officer Kevin Smale said. Based on the reports, the rider was heading west of SR-76 when he lost control and suddenly swerved off the road.
 
The impact of the crash extricated both the rider and the passenger and was thrown from the motorcycle.
 
Smale said that the father, from Vista, was pronounced dead on the scene. Moreover, his identification will remain undisclosed until the family’s confirmation.
 
Furthermore, the daughter sustained non-life threatening injuries. She is expected to recover soon.
 
Due to lack of details, the events leading up to the accident remain unclear however, police have ruled out DUI as a factor.
