1 Dead in Escondido Motorcycle Crash on 15 Freeway near Via Ranch Parkway

 
ESCONDIDO, CA (December 22, 2020) – Sunday evening, a motorcyclist died in an accident on the 15 Freeway near Via Rancho Parkway.
 
The incident took place at around 9:55 p.m. on the 15 Freeway, near Via Rancho Parkway.
 
According to reports, a 48-year-old male rider of a Harley Davidson Softail was speeding on the Centre City Parkway on-ramp to the southbound I-15.
As the rider moved from the ramp to the freeway, he sideswiped a Toyota Tundra in the far right lane.
 
The crash between the Toyota and Harley Davidson led to the rider losing control. Eventually, the rider was ejected, and several vehicles hit him. As a result, responders declared him dead at the scene.
 
At this time, his identity is being withheld due to pending family notification.
