Deadly Santa Cruz County Motorcycle Accident on Highway 1 near Laguna Road

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA (April 6, 2025) – Saturday afternoon, a horrific motorcycle crash on Highway 1 near Laguna Road led to a fatality.

Reports said that the crash between a car and a motorcycle happened just before 1:00 p.m. on Highway 1 near Laguna Road.

Roughly 20 minutes after the crash, authorities shut down both directions of the highway to begin investigating the fatal incident. As of 3 p.m., one lane had reopened.

What caused the crash remains unclear, and officials urged drivers to avoid the area.
