LAKESIDE, CA (May 19, 2025) – Sunday morning, a horrific hit-and-run crash on Highway 67 near Willow Road led to a fatality.

The incident happened just after 1:00 a.m. when two motorcyclists traveled north on Highway 67 near Willow Road. Then, one of them was struck by a white SUV.

Afterward, the vehicle crashed into a streetlight, but the driver escaped the crash scene and fled on foot.

Moreover, the California Highway Patrol issued a traffic alert and closed the freeway in both directions for investigation and cleanup.

Then, the freeway reopened at 3:53 a.m.
