1 Person Dead in Los Angeles Auto Accident on Western Avenue near 46th Street

LOS ANGELES, CA (April 9, 2025) – Monday night, an alarming wrong-way crash on Western Avenue near 46th Street killed one person.

The incident happened at around 11:30 p.m. on Western Avenue near 46th Street.

According to reports, a white vehicle swerved to the opposite lane and collided head-on with another vehicle. Then, the force of the crash pushed the white vehicle to spin out of control and rolled over.

Moreover, officers confirmed that a baby in the victim’s vehicle died at the scene. Then, paramedics rushed the parents of the infant, both believed to be in their 30s, to a local hospital with critical injuries.

Furthermore, LAPD Detective Moreno said that the driver of the white vehicle, best described as a man in his 40s, was ejected during the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene. Also, officers said that the suspect vehicle that was reported stolen was traveling at a high rate of speed before the incident.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified. 

Due to limited information, the LAPD continued investigating the crash.
