1 Person Dead in Tucson Auto Accident near 5200 N Casa Grande Highway

TUCSON, AZ (July 9, 2024) – Thursday night, a fatal wrong-way crash near 5200 N Casa Grande Highway killed one person.

The incident happened at around 8:30 a.m. near 5200 N Casa Grande Highway.

According to reports, a southbound Ford pickup truck collided with a northbound Chevrolet pickup that was traveling in the southbound lane.

Moreover, responders pronounced the juvenile driver of the Chevrolet, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported multiple occupants of the Chevrolet and Ford to a hospital with unknown injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department Traffic Unit continued to investigate the crash.
