Fatal Head-On Car Accident on Branscomb Road in Laytonville

 
LAYTONVILLE, CA (July 5, 2019) – One person died in a head-on accident on Branscomb Road near Highway 101 in Laytonville on July 4th.
 
According to the Incident Commander in communication with dispatch, the accident happened around 7:25 p.m. California Highway Patrol stated that a white GMC Sierra truck and a small two-door Ford pickup collided.
 
The circumstances and events preceding the accident are unclear at this point. However, the report did indicate that one person was seen walking with injuries and grew uncooperative at the scene.
 
Unfortunately, one victim succumbed to his or her injuries, yet reports did not release many details concerning the death.
 
Police did not release any further information regarding to the accident at this time. However, police are conducting a thorough investigation into the cause of the accident and details regarding the victim’s death.
