1 Dead in Tucson Bicycle Collision

 
TUCSON, AZ (October 2, 2019) – A person died in a truck and bicycle collision on Broadway Boulevard on October 1.
 
On Tuesday afternoon, authorities received a report that a semi-truck hit a bicyclist. The incident occurred at about 12:40 p.m. on Broadway Boulevard between Kolb Road and Pantano Road. However, police do not know how the accident happened at this time.
 
The bicyclist died as a result of the collision.
 
The road closed briefly while police investigated the accident and a crew cleaned the area of debris. However, the road reopened a short while later.
 
At this time, police did not release any additional information regarding the fatal accident. In addition, an investigation into the collision is ongoing.
