1 Dead in Woodland Car Collision on Highway 16
WOODLAND, CA (November 14, 2019) – A driver died in a tow truck and car collision on Highway 16 on November 12.
According to reports, a female Subaru SUV driver traveled south on County Road 94B. She stopped at a stop sign before she tried to cross Highway 16 at about 4:00 p.m. Meanwhile, the tow truck driver, a Woodland man, drove east on the highway.
He couldn’t avoid colliding with the Subaru. The left rear end of the tow truck got clipped and sent the two trucks off the road and down an embankment. It then rolled over and landed on its roof.
The CHP is still investigating the crash. However, they clarified that speed, drugs, and alcohol didn’t play a role in the crash. CHP added that the did not arrest the Subaru driver.
Meanwhile, the identity of the deceased remains unreleased as of this time.
