BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 31, 2025) – Saturday night, a fatal pedestrian crash on South Union Avenue and White Lane killed one person.

The incident happened at around 10:45 p.m. on South Union Avenue and White Lane.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle struck a pedestrian and then fled the scene without stopping to provide aid.

Moreover, responders pronounced the pedestrian, dead at the scene.

Furthermore, the crash closed southbound South Union Avenue but has long since reopened.
