JASPER COUNTY, MO (December 8, 2024) – Friday night, a fatal pedestrian crash on Missouri 171 near Carterville City killed one person.

The incident happened at around 11:45 p.m. on Missouri 171, between Webb City and Carterville City.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 17-year-old truck driver struck a male pedestrian who was crossing the roadway.

Moreover, authorities confirmed that the 31-year-old man from Eagle Rock died at the scene.
