Tumwater, WA (April 7, 2022) – On Thursday morning, the authorities responded to a fatal pedestrian accident near Olympia Regional Airport.

The fatal collision happened at 1:43 a.m. at the 8400 block of Old Highway 99 Southeast. 

Moreover, the involved driver, a 27-year-old Thurston County man, stayed at the scene. He cooperated with the officers‘ investigation.

According to the investigators, the pedestrian was wearing all dark clothing when the accident happened. 

A State Patrol drug expert determined that the driver was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the collision.

Meanwhile, the Tumwater police are investigating the pedestrian accident.
