1 Dead in Las Vegas Pedestrian Crash on Interstate 15 near Mile Marker 7
LAS VEGAS, NV (March 15, 2021) – Sunday morning, a fatal pedestrian accident on Interstate 15 near Mile Marker 7 occurred, said NHP.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the incident occurred just after 10:45 a.m. Trooper Ashlee Wellman confirmed that it occurred on northbound Interstate 15 near mile marker 7.
Wellman added that a blue Kia Soul had stopped on the left shoulder of southbound Interstate 15.
Then, one of the passengers went out of the vehicle and went into the northbound side of Interstate 15 to get some belongings.
As the passenger walked in the left-hand travel lane, a white Honda C-RV hit him. Thus, medical personnel declared him dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the Honda driver has been cooperative with the investigators. The authorities do not believe that impairment played a role in the crash.
Furthermore, the crash led officers to block the left-hand travel lane on northbound Interstate 15 for investigation.
