1 Dead in Reno Pedestrian Accident on Fourth Street
RENO, NV (October 21, 2019) – A person died in a pedestrian accident on Fourth Street on October 19.
According to authorities, a Reno Fire Department vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian on East Fourth Street and Valley Road.
The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office said that the incident occurred just before 7:00 a.m. The female adult pedestrian died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the fire truck that hit the woman belongs to fire station No. 1 in the area.
The crash remains under investigation of the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office’s Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T.). However, the Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office administered an investigation. Police are working to determine the woman’s identity and cause of death.
As a result, authorities shut down East Fourth Street and Valley Road intersection for multiple hours during the investigation. However, it reopened by 2:30 p.m.
