BETHEL ISLAND, CA (September 4, 2019) – A person died in a pedestrian accident on Bethel Island Road on August 31.
 
The East Contra Costa Fire Protection came to the vehicle versus pedestrian scene around 9:19 p.m. in the 6200 block of Bethel Island Road.
 
Battalion Chief Jake Gonzalez revealed that the Engine 53 came and found a male down in the roadway. After securing the scene along with AMR, they pronounced the man in his 60s dead.
 
The vehicle driver didn’t suffer any injury and remained at the scene.
 
The CHP is currently investigating the collision.
